A Typical Week

At Happy Kids Childminding Service, we believe that each child is unique and deserves individualised attention to help them reach their full potential. We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where children can learn, explore, and develop important social and academic skills.

We believe the children would describe our setting as a warm and welcoming space filled with creativity, adventure, and a sense of belonging. 

The environment is designed to be engaging and stimulating, with areas dedicated to different types of play—such as a cozy reading nook, an arts and crafts corner, and an outdoor play area where they can explore nature and use their imagination.

The vibrant colours, playful decorations, and age-appropriate resources around the room create an atmosphere where children feel excited to learn and explore. 

They would likely mention how often we go out on trips in our bus called Barry to places such as Parks, Museums, Zoo’s, Garden Centres, Farms, Seaside, Forests etc…

We also have a "Feelings Wall" that helps them express their emotions and encourages open conversations about feelings and friendships. 

This initiative not only adds a personal touch to the space but also promotes emotional literacy.

One of the standout features of our setting is the emphasis on routine and structure, which helps make the children feel secure and confident. 

We work together to create enriching experiences, whether it’s through group activities, themed events, or fun outings.

Typically on a Monday we visit Meadowbrook Residential Care Home in Bishops Stortford, Tuesday we have our very own Forest School with the Woodland Rangers, Wednesday is our Yoga with the fabulous Rachel and Friday we visit our local Cafe for delicious treats and a exercise session.

Ultimately, we believe the children would describe our setting as a fun, safe haven where they can be themselves, make friends, and learn through play—an environment that truly feels like a second home.
